North Pole Express

Ticket sales begin on Thursday, November 4 at 9:00 a.m. Children of all ages can ride the North Pole Express to see Santa Claus on Dec. 2-4 and Dec. 9-11 from 5-8:20 p.m. at the Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College Georgia Museum of Agriculture. Tickets for the North Pole Express will be available beginning Nov. 4 at 9 a.m. online at gmanorthpoleexpress.eventbrite.com. Tickets are $12 per person and must be purchased in advance. Tickets will not be sold at the event. Children one year of age and under are free. Children two years of age and older must have a ticket. The Museum’s 1917 Vulcan steam locomotive will depart for the North Pole every 20 minutes. Guests will begin their journey to Santa starting with a few mischievous elves in Santa’s library! The elves will read the holiday classic, “The Polar Express,” in the Costume Shop, located behind the Clyatt Cabin. Guests will then board the North Pole Express to visit Santa Claus and enjoy the movie version of “The Polar Express” in a rustic holiday atmosphere. Bring along your camera for festive photo opportunities throughout the experience and with Santa. Guests are encouraged to arrive a few minutes before your scheduled session for the best experience possible. The locomotive is open air, and it is recommended that guests dress according to the weather.
Merry on Main Street

Before and after the Candyland Christmas Parade, all participants and spectators are invited to walk into Downtown Tifton for the "Merry on Main Street" Christmas Open House. Activities will be hosted all day long - including crafts for kids, food vendors, additional vendors brought in, games, photo opportunities, costumed characters, and movies at the Theater.

A Wiregrass Christmas Carol

Travel through time with ABAC’s Georgia Museum of Agriculture on Friday, December 17 as it presents A Wiregrass Christmas Carol. Join prickly print shop owner Edwin G. Fitzer as he visits the past, present, and future, guided by three spirits, and learns the meaning of Christmas. Tickets for A Wiregrass Christmas Carol will be available beginning Thursday, Nov. 11 at 9 a.m. at wiregrasschristmas.eventbrite.com. Guests will journey the Historic Village by tram to watch the story unfold at select sites decorated for the season, including the Print Shop, Schoolhouse, Chapel, and more. The evening will conclude at the Clark Cabin with hot apple cider, fresh-made tea cakes, and classic holiday tunes around a bonfire. The event is not to be missed as a magical retelling of a classic Christmas story, with a Wiregrass twist! Guests are encouraged to arrive a few minutes before your scheduled session for the best experience possible. The tractor-driven trams are open-air, and it is recommended that guests dress according to the weather.

"Matt the Gnat" will drop at midnight December 31st to bring in 2022. The event begins at 7 PM in front of Tift County's Charles Kent Administration Building on Tift Avenue. Live music and food vendors will be available.
2022 Farm Show

Make plans to attend the 45th annual Georgia Peanut Farm Show and Conference set for Jan. 19-20, 2022. The show will be held Wednesday, Jan. 19 from 1:00 to 5:00 p.m. and Thursday, Jan. 20 from 8:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at the University of Georgia Tifton Campus Conference Center in Tifton, Georgia. The show is free and open to all farmers and industry representatives to attend. The show is sponsored by the Georgia Peanut Commission. Attendees will have the opportunity to visit with more than 100 agribusinesses and organizations in the peanut and agricultural industry. Farmers will be able to earn private and commercial pesticide applicator certification, as well as learn about cutting-edge research and developments during the University of Georgia Peanut Production Seminar and industry-wide sponsored Peanut Seed Seminar.
